I once got my free skeleton spearmen to defeat in a 1vs1 a unit of basic warriors on chaos on VH diffuculty. I use the rest to deal with lords, heroes, artillery, archers etc.įun fact. Skeleton spearmen are way better than grave guard at just surviving and also dealing with any large units. My end game VCs army looks like this: 1 Lord, 2 vampires(1 for each school of magic), necromancer(on a corpse car), 1 mortis engine, 2 blood knights, 2 terrorgheists, 11 skeleton spearmen. I don't like pure skeleton stacks too but when I play VCs I still use a lot of skeletons in my armies. The point is that 10 crap stacks are more useful than single doomstack. If you wanna doomstack as VC then recruit dread incarnate heroes or maybe terrogheists but that's the opposite of efficient army. It's an expendable crap stack that costs nothing and hits way above it's weight. If it was army tier ranking then that wouldn't be a top tier army because it isn't even supposed to be. It's called skeleton because most of units are skeletons but they are there only because they are free and improve power balance a bit and to a degree are an extension of your generals HP pool.Īlso, it's FACTION tier ranking not ARMY tier ranking. I mean, that's the whole point of this army.
